Hey i am wondering if my 92 dakota is worht putten money into so i can race it. It has a 5.2 v8 in it and runs pretty good now. I was just wondering if it is worth and does anyone have any tips for me thanks. I am wanting to beat my brother with his 350 lol but lol i bet i cant any help thanks love JEssica

How many miles on it? I have a 92 318. Most of my mods went on this last year. I have driven it stock ever since I bought it in 92. It does have 194k miles on it. Engine is still strong, but I think my valve seals are bad and probably time for a rebuild. If the engine is in good shape I would say go for it. Also consider that once you start modding it, if the engine decides to die you can pick up a junkyard engine for relatively cheap and you are good to go. Everything will transfer over to the new block, and you likely will pick up some power too simply because the engine is not as tired. You could even put a 360 in it.
