Subject: ball joint replacement?
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 2000 Dakota and still need to get the dealer to install new ball joints as part of the recall.

Does anyone know if a front wheel alignment is necessary after new ball joints are installed?

Thanks

Yes that is true, I have the 4x4. The safety recall notice does state " 2000-2003 Dakota and Durango 4X4 models. Not sure why the difference in models.

Yup, the dealer will only reset the toe after the b-joint install.

Your dealer probably wont even set the toe on it, just as long as nothing was turned during the replacement nothing will be done.
