I am thinking of purchasing a 2002 QC 4X4 and I was wondering if there is anything I should be aware of and what options are best. It has the 4.7 V8 with leather int. and automatic.

Is there different automatic transmissions? And if so, which is the best/strongest!

Thanks for the help!

I would make sure it has a LSD in the rear. I wish my truck had a LSD in it. I think it only came with the 5 speed auto tranny. but I dont know for sure.

I got me the 02 qc 4.7 slt auto no 4x4. I love it. only prob i had so far was a vac line was dryrotted and leaking. the sticker mpg said 15 city 20 hwy. the best I ever got was18.5 mpg on a 350 mile road trip. around town and hwy the best I got was 14.5. Just be prepared for that. Otherwise it is a great truck. OH before I forget mine is governed at 100 mph. NO big deal but you pay x amount for your truck it should get to the top end. Hope you buy from a private party and not a dealer. Mine was 18,900 with 40,000 miles on it[dealer price]. I have seen private seller ads for 13,000. Warranties are fully transferrable. wanna buy mine? sike. oops this is an old post. Hope you were not to hasty with your purchase.
