I have a 99' 4+4 Dak. with the 318 and 103,000 miles. My temp. is at about 140 or so. I put in a new t-stat (195) in 2003 and antifreeze. The reason is, I took a long road trip, but there wasn't any thing wrong with the origial. Now two years later the engine is at 140 all year round. I just put in a new OEM t-stat and a new rad. cap. This did not fix it. I don't know what to check next. I hope someone has an idea?

Could be the temp gauge is off. Does it blow good heat? If so it's probably warmer than you think and it's a bad sending unit for the temp. gauge.
