I have a 1999 Dodge Dakota Sport pickup and the engine light stays on. A friend checked it and it came up with a 3-4 shift malfunction code PO783. Is this a sensor problem or something more??? What kind of problem are we looking at??? It drives fine. We already replaced the rear axle speed sensor to eliminate the problem of ABS/brake lights & speed odemeter not working properly. That fixed that problem. Another question? I have noticed a smell from underneath when I am in the park position after driving & coming home. It smells like a skunk (not joking). Could this be a problem somewhere too???
