exhaust gases are flammable and grinders shoot sparks.

Exhaust gasses are already burnt. Cut the pipe with the car running if you want. It wont explode...unless you knick a fuel line or something.

Yeah. Hot exhaust pipe cuts easier than a cold one.

if exhaust gases are already spent, than how do ricers shoot flames out of the back of their mufflers with a spark plug in the pipe?

they either inject kerosene or gasoline into the pipe upstreem of the spark plug. And FYI it is not a ricer thing, my Uncle used to run around with a guy that became a pro football coach (now retired) and drives in dragraces and even used to drive in a few Nascar races, I can remember way back to when I was about 4 years old, He was at my grandparents house, and left with a big long stream of flame out the exhaust as he went down the road.

so because he is a pro football coach that automatically makes his "ricer" a domestic hot rod? i wasn't aware of that rule.

The 'flames out the pipe' thing is a system you install....

You rev the engine up, flip a switch which cuts engine ignition and fires spark plug in tail pipe which in turn fires all the raw fuel you are pumping out of your exhaust valves....

Exhaust is not flammable.

Doin' it like 'caulk04' says can totally waste the expensive catalytic converter(s) in very short order. Cats can't handle raw fuel for very long.

Injecting gas into the tailpipe, and lighting it there, is the better way.

I think any method of shooting fire from your tailpipe is just pointless...

I was just speaking of a method I saw done on an older vehicle void of any emmissions equipment.

Yeah. That's old school tricks that the Ricer's are trying now.
Pointless. They are trying to make their otherwise pu$$y cars intimidating.
What a joke and what a waste like most of the typical Ricer mods.
