 Subject: Gear swap

I want to do a gear swap in my 02 dak rc 4.7. Im going to a 4.10. What Im asking is how did you guys that peformed this swap keep your speedo correct. Can you do this with the drb 3 or ?

Your speedo will still read correctly. I paid a mechanic to install my gears and LSD. I don't know what a drb3 is?

Are you trying to tell people that your speedo reads the same no matter what gear ratio or tire size you run?

N56629, that is correct. The speed sensor (ABS sensor?) will read correct. Obviously not w/a tire change though. Isn't that sensor in the pumpkin? I'm not sure on it's location though.

The speedometer will read correctly for gear changes but not for tire swaps.

Do you have one of them newfangled puters that knows whether you changed your rearend gears or changed your tires?

DUHHHH
Yeh, they have those newfangled sensors up thier a$$ end and gearing doesn't make any difference since it is reading the speed of the ring gear.

Thanks AndrewM for backing me up.
I know it to be true because I had 4.10s and LSD installed on my '02 Dak and verified the speedo to be correct with my GPS.
