Subject: seafoam and how to use it?
IP: Logged

Message:
Just replaced my intake manifold and belly pan gaskets due to oil burning.

I havent noticed any oil burning as of yet but when i was crusin down my dirt road at 3500 when i let off it seemed to burn a lot.

Now my question is this, was it buring off the oil that was already before i switched the gaskets and got the re-inforcement kit?

I have heard about using seafoam but was unsure how to. I know you can put it in your gas tank but what about directly in the TB?

Also was wondering if i should swap out the plugs that are in there now since i was burning quite a bit of oil.

thanks!

How long has it been since the work was done? If it was recent it could just be the residual oil burning off. I've never personally used seafoam but from what I hear most just use it through the t/b while holding the revs up a bit.
After using that stuff I would highly recomend changing plugs, esp since you were burning oil prior.

we use that sea foam stuff at my school for the cars we work on and we put half in the gas and the other half with the new oil we put in. just add it like you add the oil.
