have you checked for faults yet?
-first check for faults.
-if faults, you try clearing them to see if
they come back (hard faults) after clearing
them it may reset the tranny and it may
start working again, if the faults comeback than
follow your fault symptoms.
-if under warranty still just save the time and take it in.

If it's cold out, many autos won't shift into OD until they reach a certain temperature. The 45RFE in my 01 takes won't shift into OD for 5-10 minutes if I get right on the highway after starting.

If your trans still doesn't shift correctly after it's warm, there is a sensor on the top part of the overdrive part of the trany which might need to be replaced. This happened to me and the problem was fixed.
