 Subject: engine cuts out

After I drive my 90 Dak, with a 3.9 liter engine, about 3 to 5 miles the engine shuts off and won't restart for about 5 to 10 minutes. It happens at low or high speeds. Can someone help? Jay

Could be a fuel problem. Or possibly that the coil is going bad and when it heats up it cuts out. Try swapping coils first, they are affected by heat. If that doesn't fix it, try fuel pump/filter. Also, when was the last time you did a tune up with cap/rotor/plugs/wires?? Would be a good time to do that as well if it's been a while
