I'm having a couple of problems that I need a little advice on. When starting the engine it races up to a very high idle and then it will idle back down like normal after about 5 seconds. Second problem is when driving on the interstate at a constant 1800 RPM's the RPM's will bounce up 200-300 RPM's quite frequently. I can floor it for a quarter of a mile and kind of "blow it out" and then it won't do it for say a 100 miles or so. Any ideas? Could both problems be related? Thanks!

replace your throttle position sensor. The 300rpm flutter is your torque converter locking and unlocking because the signal from the TPS is "confusing" it. Mine had this problem too, yet chucks no codes on the reader. I bought a Sorenson for about $25.

Clean your IAC solenoid, and replace your TPS sensor. Should fix both of your problems.

I searched for applicable service bulletins and found none.
The above suggestions seem like a great place to start.

Back side of throttle body, you should find it mounted there.
