I would suggest that you go to the dealer. They are less than a buck apiece. Next best thing is to try you local junk yard. It's a 5/16-18 thread and I believe 2 1/2 inches long.

take a bolt that is being used now (with the spacer) and take it to a Napa store. tell him you want the same bolt MINUS the thickness of the spacer and WAA-LAA. there ya go.

I checked it when I got home and they are 2 1/4 inches. I wouldn't worry about strength, you are bolting aluminum to aluminum with inch/pounds of torque. I would still recommend you get stock bolts with the washers on them. The washers are much smaller than stock.

Is your TB ported?

Dang 2 1/4 was affrid you would say that, Ok I am thinking dealer or junk yard is best bet. I haven't ported the TB yet, I have heard it doesn't do anygood to port TB if you don't have headers with dual exhaust to get the extra air out.

K&N FIPK is to tall for the hood to close without rubbing on the plenum, I have had it for a while and just noticed it a few days ago when checking the oil. Anyhow problem is resolved, I thank you for all your help. They are 2 1/4 5/16-18 bolts. I was able to use 2 1/2 5/16-18 bolts by shiming them up with a lock washer and regular washer everything fits great now. I used G8 hardened bolts from lowes since thats what I took out when I removed the spacer, thanks for all your help as always this site is hella useful.

Lowes is a great place to get hardware from and a lot cheaper then the dealer for bolts, however you wasted your money on grade eight bolts as I can assure you that is not what you had, something as cheap as grade 3 would have done the job just as well and would have been a lot cheaper. You are not putting a tremendous load on TB bolts as you only need enough pressure to get the gasket to seal and keep the TB in place with little or no shear pressure. AND the grade 3 bolts would, because the manifold is really not all that thick, thus the bolt thread would not have a long length of engagement, pull the threads out of the threaded holes in the manifold before they break.
Using the washers as a spacer to take up the extra length is a great idea.

I did not torque them down at all, just tightened them lightly didn't want to strip the threads. I think I think I had g8 on there before, they had a 5 or 6 dashes in a star patern with one of them making a triangle. I just matched the pattern on the top of the bolt is all. Looked kinda like this

I ported my TB, still running stock headers and exhaust. It did make a noticeable difference on mine. Keep in mind though that mine is a 92, and has the larger stock exhaust and manifold. I do have an M1 as well.

IMO TB spacers are not worth the money. Sell it on ebay, somebody will buy it.
