I tried an Airaide spacer on my 2000 4.7 and did not care for it.It seemed to constrict the airflow and caused a high pitched whistle at cruising speed. After three days, I removed it.At the same time I installed an Airaide air intake and have seen a small improvment in MPG.If I'd keep my foot out of it,and quit listening to the pipes would might be even better.
