I have found that my 00 CC R/T with #6 pully on the powerdyne supercharger doesn't like to keep the stock head gaskets! Anyone have any idea what I can do for it without grooving the head or block?

Had the saem problem, twice. ask anyone here. Both times I used the fel pro 1008. the second time though I got arp head bolts, and made d@mn sure my btm was working. Your blowing them because of pinging, plain and simple. fix that and you fix your problems. 24# injectors, btm, better ignition ect.

Thanks again. What kind of injectors did you end up with? That makes sence that it's pinging at top end. I ordered the mopar performance head gaskets DCC-4120094 from summit yesterday. I will get some injectors now and maybe that will do the trick. My ignition system I'm not sure of yet but I do have 2 MSD boxes plugged in. I got this thing used and alot of mysteries to figure out yet.

I think those gaskets are stock replacements. get the ford injectors, direct bolt on, five-0-motorsports sells them for around 225. you have to get the msd btm, is has a vacuum line on it and senses boost, and retards the timing by the amount of degrees you select with the dash mounted knob... according to the pounds of boost it senses. this thing is a must.... it comes in two different units, the btm, and the 6-btm which is the same thing only with the msd 6 built into it. If you already have a box, get the regular btm, it plugs right into the 6 or 6a.

I was informed by Krcperformance that the Mopar Performance head gaskets are the same as the Felpro 1008's (P#4876048)

I find that hard to believe jeff, You have all sorts of questions out there. Seems like you don't know what to do, yet to know the difference in head gaskets. it went from superchargers, to cams, to heads, now its back to superchargers. you have allot to learn. read the post you'll learn more than you think.

The gaskets may be stock replacements. But they say it's good for 12.5:1 and I am impaitent as hell, to be honest about it. I have had the truck apart for 5 days now. As for the MSD boxes I have the 6A and a BTM. I did however find that the intake pan gasket was leaking oil and leaving a deposit in 2 cylinders. In one of the 2 cylinders was the gapeing gasher into the water jacket.

As for the injectors, would you suggest the cobra 24# or the standard?

Hey SLEEPER318, I may not know as much as you about these trucks but I was told about the head gasket's by krcperformance around the same time I had questions about superchargers. Seeing how most guys install blowers and later blow the head gaskets I figured it would be a smart thing to upgrade the head gaskets at the same time. I used to work part-time at a Dodge dealer and get parts out of the catalog at almost cost, so those were the gaskets I wanted. Sorry if my questions on this forum bother you!
