I just had my trans rebuilt. The guy put HD cluch retainers to allow the installation of two extra cluches(like in a diesel trans). He also drilled all ports to increase shift pressure. The trans shifts like it has a shift kit, But when it is in first gear(shifter in drive) with full throtle the trans won't shift untill you lift off the gas. I first thought the kick down cable was pulled too tight(had that problem before), but it is as loose as it will go. Any ideas would help.

my 01 R/T does the samething every now and then, someone told me that its the govenor pressure sensor has gone bad.. but I just changed the fluid and filter and it seemed to help the problem alot. Mine only hangs up when I raise absolute hell for about 30 min.

Mine acts up after normal operating temp. is reached. I have new fluid and filter.

Hey its your valvebody. Both R/Ts I've owned did the same thing. The TV cable didn't do anything to help. Only replacing the valvebody fixed it.

That is kinda what i thought. Will a new valve body allow the trans to shift closer to rev limiter?
Any brand?
Any idea on price?

My 03 R/T did the same thing. Took it to the dealer 5 times with no luck in fixing it.. needless to say I won my Lemon Law case and will never own a dodge again..
