P.S. I'm runninga 100HP wet shot of Nitrous and I think I need to change the spark plugs because it surges on the gas, I think the nitrous might be blowing the spark out because they are stock plugs. I also have an IAT adj. but I turned it off because I didn't know how it work with the Nitrous. What do you think ????????????

Looks like multiple cylinder misfire with cylinder 1 and 2 misfire. P111 looks like a IAT code basicaly it is out of range. The IAT code may have been set from the IAT adjuster some '01s don't seem to like them. Here is a site to look up codes. OBDII codes

I don't know that much on NOS but I would suggest trying a 3922 or 3923 autolite plugs.

Bernd is the man for the NOS. Yo Bernd ya out there?

Your a good man CW, I tried Bernd this morning but no answer on the phone. I'll try him again later. It's still under waranty but, I'm not real impressed with the service at my dealer. I always felt better about fixing things myself anyway.

Thanks a Million,
Guy

Where are you introducing the NO2 shot at? The Nitrous is probably cooling the intake charge to the extent that the IAT is out of range compared to the coolant temp. If you're running a wet set-up and 2 of the cylinders aren't firing, you need to find out why. The intake runners for the #1 & #2 cylinders are larger in the stock beer barrel intake. That also means that they don't flow at the same velocity as the other cylinders do. Less velocity for those two cylinders means that the fuel is able to puddle in the intake.... that's not a good thing. Have you done a plug check? Are some different colors or white versus brown when compared to each other? I would suggest narrowing up the plug gap for those two front cylinders at least if not all of them. A narrower gap reduces the resulting plug temp, but allows it to fire under more adverse conditions. The stock coils aren't cabable of firing an excessively rich mixture at rpms so anything you can do to make it easier for them will definately help. You could possibly have a couple of coils that are weaker than the others, but it would be way too much of a coincidence to have both of them be in the #1 & #2 positions.

I do have a Bottle heater, but I was under the impression that it's sole purpose was to keep the pressure with in operating range.

kicker01-I put the kit together myself so there are several different brands involved but they are all compatible. My brother bought the NX kit for his Maxima and it was $900+ all together.

Ok, I had 2 melted sparkplugs........... But the rest were good. Changing the Spark Plugs fixed the problem though. I think that happened when it was a dry shot............ any input.

3923 gaped @ 35-37 the stock gap was 45-50, I'm guessing that was why it got so hot. I've been running it for 2 days and no codes yet even with the nitrous. I love the way the motor is designed, it was so easy to change the plugs.

P.S. I smoked some guy in a 6 spd. Camaro yesterday so it's running pretty good...

The cams helped out on my truck. More power down low and at least as much on top. The shocks help tame some of the wheel hop and alot of body lean on quick cornering. They are quite stiff though. I maily bought them for the trailer I tow. Edlbrocks would probably be a better choice. Matt Barret is going to try the cams we will see what success he has with them.
