Ok I just changed out my O2 sensors because it threw up the code both up and downstream and it is still running like crap pulled my codes up again and I got P132 (Left oxygen sensor input voltage maintained above the normal operating range)What the hell (I bought the bosh universal O2's)The guy at autozone said both were the same part number this sounded funny to me cause the other one's had different part numbers.Any help would be much appriciated.Oh yea I have a 2000 4.7 L extracab

are they single wire O2 sensors ??? If so, the sensor is the same on all Bosch single wire part #'s. The difference in the part # is the length of the wire, and style of connector.

I think I may have an 02 sensor on the way out... I also have an 00 cc 4.7L (auto and 4X4) and it runs like absolute CRAP on cold starting! it smells really rich, and almost stalls. Then it recovers and idles fine, but has a nasty hesitation for the first block or 2 (when taking off from a stop, moderate throttle) I get no codes, or MIL light, I'm clueless... Oh and I have good plugs (less then 5K miles on them) and air filter etc etc... I have even tried sevral injector cleaners, and my TB and IAC are clean as a whistle. any thoughts??

Thanks!

Have you changed the PCV valve, daffydak? You might try 6-7 gallons of premium 93 octane for a test, especially if your Dak has over 70K miles.

First off, I would like to apologize for hijacking your thread....

I bieleve the input voltage is 5.0 volts.. the rest of the computer system uses 5.0 volts on our daks' (correct me if I'm wrong please)
Maybe you can unhook the o2 sensor, and check the voltage with the key on (or the engine running) and see where it stands..

and I realized earlier, that an o2 sensor couldn't cause my problem. they aren't monitored in open loop mode, and don't even work below 600* F. I'm heading to my dealer today, and picking up a new PCV valve. I have an extended warranty, so i may have to take it in. I have heard soemthing about a flash, fixing the low rpm/stalling with the 4.7L. I don't have any "authorized software upgrade" stickers on my PCM, so I assume its all orig 00 software..

sheet!! I went to my local 5 star dealer ( the same dealer I bought the truck from) Nelson autogroup, Bellefontaine OH. and they don't stock the PCV valve! LOL!! what kind of 5 star dealer has to order a simple PCV valve?!? maybe it wasn't the specific one for the dakota... gimme a break! shouldn't the PCV valve be the same on all the 4.7Ls? Anyways, it should be in monday. I will let yall' know if it helps me any..

Actually, the 2001-2004 PCV valves are different. I found this out when I changed my intake manifold to the 2004 style. My PCV hose wouldn't work with the new manifold so I bought the 2004 hose and found it wouldn't work with my PCV valve so I went to the hardware store and bought a brass adapter. The 2001 and later PCV valve uses a larger diameter fitting on the manifold side. I think this was to combat the sludging problem in the oil fill tube.
kota4u2nv, it could be a problem with your PCM. Don't forget, your PCM is covered by an 8 year/80,000 mile emissions warranty.

Well, since the PCM is responsible for posting the codes, I don't know if it has a way of testing itself and posting an "I'm broken" code. Here's a website that has the OBD II codes:http://wjjeeps.com/faultcodes.htm
Actually, while looking at the site, the 600 series codes talk about PCM problems.
