I dont really know much about cars so I was hoping I could get some help. Today I was driving and all of the sudden my truck just dies on me. So I made it home and checked all the fluids and they were fine and I checked to see if it was running hot and it wasn't. I think it's the idle because the rpms are low. The truck starts and goes into gear fine but once I let my foot off the gas the rpms drop quickly and then it dies. So I was hoping someone could tell me how to adjust the idle. Or tell me what the problem is.
It's a 1994 Dodge dakota SLT clubcab V8. Any help is much appreciated thanx.

your IAC (Idle Air Control) valve may be bad, or just dirty... go to speedtweaks and read "how to clean the IAC solenoid" also you may want to clean your throttle body while your at it...

caspperrr, I agree that daffydak made a lot of good suggestions. However, I've read on this site that in a lot of cases, the 5.2L & 5.9L Daks have encounter the same symptoms when their battery is going bad or has gone bad. So, keep that in mind when you're troubleshooting. Good luck!
