I'm looking to buy a 99ish dodge dakota, what are some things i should look for. I want to get the 5spd but im not sure if its worth just getting the 5.2 or if i should try to find an auto 5.9. 4x4 is a must. Any other things i should look for while trying to find a truck to purchase? Thanks in advance, hopefully i'll be on here quite more often if i can find a truck for myself.

Also, been looking around, the 4.7 doesnt seem like a bad motor either... what do ya'll think, im new into the truck scene as i've only really owned 4 cylinders in the past, but im getting a truck to tow my turbo awd talon race car and the truck will be my daily driver and i dont want something thats a dog out on the freeway when im trying to pass someone up, also, i dont mind putting some money into the truck, whats gonna give me the best bang for the buck. Will prolly be doing chip,headers,exhaust,intake,cam/cams maybe.... thanks for any info

You should be happy with any of them. If 4.7, skip the chip and get the PCM flashed instead.
