I have looked through the discussions about what type of prerunner bumpers that we can get for Dakotas. I have not seen anybody that has mentioned airbags. I have a 2001 Dakota QC with driver and passenger airbags. The last thing i want to do is drill a hole through my bumper and have the bags go. I looked around the bumper itself and i do not see any sensors but I really dont want to take any chances.

I have a prerunner bumper installed and had no probs whatsoever. I also have a body lift which moved my bumber up three inches. I don't think the ab sensors are in the bumper. I believe they are in the fender are like most new vehicles now are.

I appreciate the response. Last I saw the Fabtech prerunner was the only way to go with drilling holes in my bumper. I wish there were some brackets to mount it instead.

Yeah, there are four holes to drill, my bumper bounces alot due to the body lift raising brackets for it. I'm gonna try to stiffen it up. I love the lightbar though.
