Dave at BG said he couldn't do anything for a 2002 4.7 with a 5 speed. He did say he could make some changes with an automatic. Maybe BG can't do much more than change shift points and the speed limiter.

They had me read the numbers off of the
computer plate. They said they don't have the
base program for the 2001, 4.7 computers. So
we are out of luck with Mike Leach.

Flashing is rewriting the program stored in the Onboard computer. You can change all sorts of stuff Fuel strategy, shift points on automatics. It's like the "Carb Tuning" of the new milenium.

I live real close to B&G
Can I simply ask them to flash my computer and be done with it? Or do I have to ask for specific settings?
What gains and losses will I get. I am going to do the "home-brew" version of the air intake this weekend.
What kind of HP should I expect to gain? What effect will this have on the MPG?

I have a 2000 4.7 auto. My rev limiter kicks in at about 98mph. Does Mike Leach flash 2000, this limiter really pisses me off.
