Already change the cams ? I think you'd see more gain with that.

I really dont want to get into cracking open the motor. I have a 1966 Chevelle with a 1971 454 500+ hp and a 1996 Buell S-1 with a full race motor 98 H.P at the rear wheel. So I sort of want to keep this truck sort of stock. At this point I am just looking for a few bolt ons to get a little more out of the motor

Thanks

Pete

The cams IS a simple "bolt on" I think.

You will change BOTH cams in your Dak faster than you can the ONE cam on that Chevelle!

Took me about 2.5 to 3 hrs or so to do mine, never doing a 4.7 before, AND stopping to take lots of pictures. Click on my banner below for details.

Pass on the headers; the factory manifolds are within 2% flow of headers on a 4.7. Less restictive exhaust and air intake really help, and the HO cams mod is worth the effort big time. The cams alone are 15HP/25 FT.LBS.TQ.

Thanks

Pete

Depends on how you use your truck. Many of us have bolted in the HO cams from the jeep motor. That will give you the gain '01 Motorsport referred to. KRC Performances's base cam is the HO, and they also offer 2 hotter versions. You might want to check out their web site.
