ok - I'm scared. the oil level has been increasing on my 98 5.2 the last couple thousand miles. my two gueses are either fuel contamination from a leaking injector or coolant from a leaking intake/belly gasket. the oil looks ok and I cant tell from the smell. I did send out a sample for oil analysis but would like some input since I'm supposed to do some towing in 10 days.

I think you are on the right track. It has to be fuel or coolant. Your oil analysis should let you know which one. Coolant/water is heavier than oil so if you drain your oil after it has set for a while you should be able to see it...it will be the first thing to come out of the drain plug. Hope it is nothing too serious.

if it's coolant, it would turn the oil to a greyish color.
