Reset the pcm, try a relay for your 'fog lamps' that are tested good-- if it's still not working, the fan is fried-- I went through a few relays and 1 fan.

I switched to the Viper fan-- and now have a kit available that eliminates all that problem.

thanks for your reply rtdkota so your saying that new relays can be bad? because i put in a new one,, i will try switching with one that i know works

second can a fan go bad just like that it was working just fine untill the relay got to hot and fried

third can that put up a check engine code ,I have tryed resetting it by undoing the neg cable and turning the key like i have done in the past but it wont reset do you have another way to rest it and will it not work till its rest

thanks

If you swapped the relay and it's still showing bad-- and clearing the pcm doesn't clear the code-- 2 things are possible:
1) the fan is cooked---

or

2) the pcm is cooked--- (my mopar pc fried because of this)

well heres an update the fans not fried,it works good , the relay is ok,we reset the code ,that didnt work,

the code is for a short in the fan cooling system someware

but what my friend and i think is what you said its the cpu ,,becaues we thing the temp switch tells the computer im to hot then the computer tells the fan to turn on

so we thing the computer is not telling the fan to turn on, thus a bad pc.

but i have to call the dealer tomorrow and find out if thats how the cooling fan system works

thanks again
