Has anyone had any positive results with ASP pulleys? I'm still trying to decide how I want to modify my dakota but it seems like there are few options that yield any real power. I can't find any web pages with dyno results from ASP pulleys either.

So that tells me a little about them. 12-15 horsepower sounds great. Is there anyone out there that has them on any dodge V8? Specifically a 4.7L? Thanks for your help Marc.

Yes, there is a noticable improvement in power, but usually this is something you do after you have many other mods done first. they are cheap and work, but another thing is they slowdown your accessories and usually run your battery down unless you are always driving and not stopped. I had mine for about 3 months and had to replace my battery. It died and the check gauges lite always comes on just before it's gonna die. I now idle a little high with my new TB and it seems to work well now. I will say after some minor mods, exhaust, intake, TB, PCM upgrade, and maybe better ignition system would be the best time to do it. Or, you can purchase a higher amped altenator and it will charge faster and better, this may take care of that. Look to see about 7-12 HP maybe. hope this helps.

I had an ASP crank pulley installed on my 2001 5.9. The part cost was $160.00 + Dealer install labor. This ASP application is very expensive as the harmonic balancer and the pulley are one unit.

I also had Gibson headers at the same time so it's difficult for me to say how much the performance gain I realized was from just the ASP pulley. I spent almost a grand having these two items installed (Ouch!!). I did like the results in performance and MPG.

I have the heavy duty alternator and cooling system (tow package). I have not had any problems with cooling or charging.

Do the pulley. You'll have a good performance mod that very few others will have.
