it is a stock truck with a fake hood scoop and a hemi with 4wd. they run like mid-high 15's stock. i dont know how all of you feel, but it pisses me off how they are going to put bumble bee stripes on something with 4wd! they came on the factory muscle cars back in 68-72. i could see if it was a real fast 2wd pickup but not a truck with 4wd. to me it seems everything is getting a little over-played. idunno maybe its just me. thats just my opinion. others like it and thats fine.

Actually, all the ones I have seen have Chrome 4X4 badging on them, so I don't know who is the dumb ass in this thread... In all seriousness, any R/T owner should have no problem beating the Rumble Bee, Super Sport Quad or any other of the specialty Rams (minus the SRT-10) out there, seeing as they are all 4X4's and a weigh alot more than the midsize Dakotas.

Maybe you can get them in 2X but the two at the dealership next to my office have 4X4 badging as well.

They are sold as a 4x4, but you can get it as a 2wd option.

And who really cares , it's a stock ram

Those stripes should indeed be reserved for real performance vehicles that perform above the limits of a normal stock vehicle not just as a cosmetic upgrade.

feel obligated to upgrade. I hate those ricers
that look bad ass and are slow as hell, love to
race them tho. : )

i wish that they would have put the bumble bee stripes on the SRT-10, now that would be better. i love the looks of the rumble bee, but one thing i hate is all show and no go.

In 1968 I went to the dodge dealer in west Seattle and bought off the showroom a 1968 Dodge R/T 440 6 pack 4 speed Black in and out. It had the R/T stripes in the back and around 400 HP under the hood.
Putting the pedel to the metail and you know why the white stripes in the back. Oh FYI the out the door price........Try 4300.00

Your rite 4300.00 was alot back then the dealer had two black R/T's 500.00 over sticker price. A few of the factory options: in dash A/C, Power steering, power assist brakes, AM/FM stereo and 6 pack eng.
If I remember correctly a 383 charger could be had for around 3100 to 3500.oo.
In 1970 I bought a new Boss 302 Mustang for around 4200.00. Let me tell you car's were lots of fun back then

why the boss 302? shoulda got the boss 429....
anyway those rumble bees are not too impressive... I lined up on one with my R/T... I've added similar "R/T 5.9" racing stripes to mine, and asked him if he wanted to pair off, he wouldn't even try. I was a bit upset, and ended up peeling out, leaving him standing at the light when it changed... it must be upseting to try to go for a bad ass look, and not have the balls to back it up...still, its a dodge, and better than a tundra, a silverado, or an F-150....

Matt, why a boss 302 and not the nascar Hemi,
Back then all 1000 boss 429's went to racing team members and owners. The ave. person never even got a look at one till after production stoped.
A nice boss 429 now sells for over 100K. The same goes for the cuda, But Dodge built quit a few more Cuda's then ford's 429 mustang.
Oh man I loved the 426 Hemi, I could only wish.
