I have an 02 RT with 1.7 RR's airaid intake Gibson cat back and
home port job on TB. Would the M-1 be a helpfull purchase and
if so, how much HP gain, and why? Any help would be
appreciated....

I think the M1 would complement your engine. The M1 really likes ported TBs. The power band will move a little higher though. I noticed a little less low end on mine, but barely miss it now. Freeway on ramps are a blast now. I also am still running the stock TB.
