If I take my dakota to the dealer for service should I take my lakewood universal traction bars off, or can i leave them on. can this void my warrenty for some reason. do not know what to do.

Unless they can prove that your mod broke something, it won't. And, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but traction bars shouldn't mess up anything with your engine or drive-train warrenties. Maybe the suspension warrenty, but I'd like to see the logic behind them telling you that traction bars made your engine brake. :0)
