Hey everyone just drove to rapid city, SD from boulder CO and decided to keep track of my mileage and it came out to over 20MPG!! This was cruising at right around 90mph at about 2500rpm I tried to prolong my filling up the tank until I absolutely had to and I made it the whole way! When I finally filled up in Rapid city I had used 18.7 gallons of gas and had gone 396 miles. And they say we shouldn't modify these trucks.

SuperBee, I had the same experience with my 98 5.2. I have always gone by the number in the console thingy but I started checking it by fillups,(though people argue this is not accurate). I kept the truck level at gas stations and filled it up. I did not run 90, but ran about 78 mph average on a trip from my home in Atlanta to my log home in Kentucky. I even had the a/c on and had to climb some pretty good mountains and got just over 20..pleasantly surprised. The best I got was 23 without a/c, but again I was impressed and this is a good thing.
