I'd like to get some feedback back on porting the stock intake vs the m1. I am capable of the porting, but is it worth the savings? If so, any one have tips for the modifications as far as tolerances, etc.? or anything else?

Might be helpful for those in the know to understand what motor you're working with.

im porting a beer barrel as we speak, i didnt find any info on this, i just cut the plane out, cut the runners back and polished them. i know it will be alot better on the upper rpm's, i heard with this design, you still have the low end torque too. i plan on buying the 1.7 roller rockers since im not doing a cam, so i decided to go this route instead of the m1. if anyone has any info on porting a beer barrel, please help a brother out! thanks!
