on a 98 4wd 5.2 dakota which is the best, flowmaster or gibson. I want as much performance as possible, and i would like a deep tough sound. Im looking a singe in single out. Which kit has a better install look and which will do what i want. please help!!! thanks!!!
also what are your preferences on headers? who will give the most power?

all mufflers were tested and gibson and flowmaster were not very good as far as the amount of air they could flow in a certain time period. flowmaster was slightly above gibson. in my opinion, the flowmasters sound great especially if u like the muscle-car sound. i have one on my r/t. but for the ultimate exhaust flow, id say go for a dynomax ultra-flow muffler. its a straight through design instead of chambers like the other two.

I have a 92 4WD 5.2 Dakota with a Dynomoax muffler. It is louder and better sounding then ANY Flowmaster I have ever heard! Dynomax is were its at! I just have a single 2 3/4" pipe- sounds awesome!!

Magnaflow is the way to go. I have it on my 03 Dakota and it sounds good and I could feel a difference. Look into Magnaflow and you may like what you see!
