 Subject: 99 5.2L mods -

Just picked up a 99 rc 4x4 with the 5.2L. Just wondering what if anything can be done for better mpg.
Also, wanted to know if the autolite plat 3923 work well in these engines. It came with a msd 6a, but had stock coil and wires.
Is it safe to assume that the borg/warner cap/roto works well also with the 5.2L?
As some of you might know, i have also the 3.9L and just wanted to know if what works well with the v6 will work well in the v8

I have a 99 sport cc w/ the 5.2. I also have the 6a ignition and would not trade it for autolite any thing. But one this is for sure... Bosch Plat 4 plugs and msd HELI-Core wire are great... for my dak anyways.

What about a blaster ss coil? I know that my 3.9L responded very well to the 6a,blaster ss,8.5mm wires, and autolite plat 3923 gap at .60!
Just wondering if the 5.2l w/ do the same.
any one see any hp/mpg increase when switching to a electric fan?
How well do under pullies work also with this motor.

I know everything that goes good mod wise on the 3.9L. But just bought a 5.2l

I just put a 360 Air Intakez on my 99 5.2 4x4 haven't had enough time to really get a verdict on it yet but they are on sale through the group buy.

They should work well on a 5.2. The 3.9 is basically a 5.2 minus 2cylinders; what worked well on your 3.9 should work well on your 5.2.
