NSDBassMan: speedtweaks.net is now defunct. Bernd was the owner/operator. He ran into some financial difficulties that left a few people on some of the Dakota boards pretty angry.

Your best bet for turbo knowledge is to contact turbocity.com or krcperformance.com. I'd try krc first.

There are currently no turbo kit available for the 4.7L. Anything would have have to be custom such as Duner's turbo at:

That's true-- "currrently available"-- but there is a kit that is up and running, and will be available after some final things have been worked out---

Idaho Speed Center is doing this with my friend Jason's '03 4.7L RC-- and so far, good results without blowing the thing up. Email me if you want more info.

Jason's truck put down something like 305hp at the rear wheels (I don't recall the torque number) on 6psi with absolutely no other mods (even stock exhaust other than the turbo manifold).

Thats so awesome. A turbo kit should cost less than a supercharger? Seems like it should given that it seems there are less moving parts. A turbo kit would make my Dak a bad arse.

Though I am thinking about running a duel-fuel propane kit. I wonder if it would work with that.

Just get a blower for it. Turbos don't really make cars faster and they make too much heat under your hood.

I dont think the heat from my turbo can get up to the engine bay. Since its under the right rear seat of my QC.

I may soon be offering a turbo kit also. Nothing fancy but cheap and easy to get 6-8psi.

Im planning on making it possible to turbo your Dak for $1500 or less. Try to get a blower for that.
