I know, I know, this is a weired one but I just had to ask....
I have a 2wd 1997 Reg cab short box Dak with the 2.5l 4 cyl. My propesiton is to install a carborated chevy 350 small block and a 700r4 or camaro 6 speed. All af the adapters are availible to make it fit. And yes I know i will have to make my own gauge cluster and lose RWAL and the air bag as they work with the PCM. I just want to know if this was ever considerd or if any one has done this.

thanx

I agree. Stick with a Chrysler V8. Save a 350 for an S-10.

Don't use a chevy 350 go with a Mopar engine 360 or 408, also I would use a T56 tranny.

It seems everyone now days has an s-10 with a 350 in it. I have a very complete 355 to the tune of 450hp, the thought has crossed my mind before to cram it in my dakota. happy wheeling

I've thought of replacing my 318 with a 360, but I heard I'd lose some mileage and possibly power. Something about the 360 designed for torque/pulling primarily. I'm now debating pulling the V6 out of my '92 and sticking a HEMI in, hehe!

Dude I'd LOVE to do it, but I don't have the cash. It's something I'd do if I ever got rich. I have to save for the little things as it is. Maybe after I get back into the IT field (if America EVER gets back on it's feet) I can afford projects like that. For now though, I'll just continue buying chrome engine components and doing minor upgrades to my 318.

Put your Chebby in a streetrod or a S10.
You will earn eternal gheyness if you put a
Chebby in a Mopar.

Can put a small or big block in your Dak.
Complete swap kits.
I used one of their kits to put a 318 in a slant-6 dart.I had to drill 1 hole.Enough said.
