If you're admitting to driving poorly (no signals, acting like you're racing Nascar, tail-gating, etc) or a few of the other mentioned things, it's not something you should admit in public. Even others like that will dislike you. I personally can't wait to get my hands on a nice suppressed pistol for dealing with the next idiot that attempts to force me into an accident. And God help the fool that hits me.

What do you consider tailgating?
In the traffic i drive in, if you leave more than 1.5 ca legths between you and the car in front of you someone will squeeze in. there is no safety factor.
so if you want to get to where you are going, you drive the way they do. If you do not, you will get either run over, or cause a big pile up possibly killing someone.
Imagine this---- 6-8 lanes going south-- 4-6 of those lanes traveling 75-80mph, 2 lanes traveling 55-60.
now imagine less than 1.5 car lengths between the car in front of you and the car behind you, door handle to door handle.
In NASCAR there are only 41 cars on the track and those drivers are trained. On I-75/85, there are hundreds of drivers around you, and none of them can even stay in their lane.
and when some IDIOT jumps on the brakes to piss off the guy behind them....welcome to the world's biggest parking lot for a city of 4.5Million people.
You might be able to drive that way in a rural area, or even a less populated urban area, but if you try that in the ATL. you will be either the cause of someone else's death or your own.

I can't believe my simple thread turned into such b.s. insult slinging. I found out what happened to my rearend. I had been hearing a clunking sound from under the vehicle when going from Park to Reverse or Drive and when shifting between R and D. It also clunked when you let off the gas going down the road and then got back into it. I had blamed the clunking on U-joints, but after receiving my truck back from the dealership I changed my mind. I climbed into myu truck, cranked it, and moved the lever to Reverse. No clunk. Moved it back to Park, then to Reverse, then to Drive. No clunking. That rearend is super tight now. Apparently the clunking had been excessive backlash and slack in the rearend. It was like hitting two steel hammers together for the last 25,000 miles. That's how long its been clunking. Now it is super tight and super quiet and I've never been happier. Note to other Dakota owners: Check out unusual noises. Have a good day and may God bless all of you.

Same for Memphis.....
Our roads aren't nearly as good as Atlanta's. In fact, they have been working on the same 5 mile stretch of I40 since 1988. They appear to be 33% complete with their project. So by the time I retire all 4 lanes will be open once again. Imagine 1 million people that have to travel in a city that takes over 20 years to upgrade one 5 mile stretch of Highway. It is TOTAL ROAD RAGE!!

Damn, you guys have it BAD! I live in my state's capitol, and we have a fair umber of drivers, but not that many. I should also say that it's more than the short car-lengths and such that bugs me. Up here, nobody gives a signal anymore, not even the city cops! The state troopers do, but that's about it. I mean one guy can just randomly pull into your lane and hit the brakes when he's MAYBE an inch from your bumper. I don't know about the Gen3 Dakotas, but mine doesn't stop as fast as a Honda Civic. That's why I get so pissy about the subject.
Now I've driven through Atlanta several times in the past few years and while it's congested, the people didn't piss me off. Maybe I keep getting in with the good crowds, but I saw signals from most of the motorists, and didn't get slowed to a crawl just because there were more than two cars in each lane. Here, you get three or four cars on a two-lane (each way) road, and they either race like heck, or slow to a crawl, and nobody will pass the other, just backing traffic for miles. I hate NC drivers.
