 Subject: Steering box 1997 kota

I picked up a 1997 4x4 5.2L It has a couple of issues.
1. The steering box seems to have a lot of play. I can grap the intermediete shaft in the engine bay and turn it almost 1/4 turn. Can this be adjusted in the gear box? If It needs to be replaced, What years are interchangable?
2. The door hinges sag, is there a kit to fix this and were can I get it.

Gene,
I replaced my gear box with one from NAPA, it was around $220 (+$200 for a core).
