I'm trying to get a tread going for 1994 Dak owners with a 5.2L engine. I'm looking to share tips and mod experiences. You can also email at joel.petkovich@wpafb.af.mil and I can put together a email list to share info.

Joel, you'd probably get more responses if you open it up to all Gen II's rather than just 94's.

I'm definitely interested in it though.
I've got a 95 dak 3.9 --> 5.2 swap with a
bunch of goodies

There is a Gen II board out there already, it could use some more traffic but it's already set up.

Sounds good to me!

I've got my drivetrain straight and am going inside the engine soon. I'm planning a weekend teardown to install...

KRC 52mm CNC TB ($400)
M1 2 BBL intake ($325)
KRC 2.02 Ported heads ($1799)
KRC 210X cam ($295)
Roller Rockers (no brand selection yet, any recommendations?)
Double roller chain
Headers
2 1/2" crush bent y-pipe
Flowmaster Scavenger 2 into 1 (dual 2 1/2 to 1 3 1/2)
3 1/2" crush bent through Summit muffler

If anyone has any suggestion, let me know! If anyone knows where to get better prices let me know! I haven't started buying yet, but I did get the go-ahead from the wife ;) and should have the cash set aside by summer.

I'd go with Comp Cams roller rockers. Our best performer, particularly in terms of durability. Comp also has a good timing chain. Get the Mopar/Thorley headers. They include a mandrel bent y-pipe.

What is the cost for the rocker, pushrod and lifter combo that you would recommend for the 2.02 street port heads?

What size is the collector outlet?

What size is the y-pipe?

I want to stick to single exhaust, but 3" is going to be to restrictive for my setup. I want to keep the exhaust tone as mellow as possible so I don't scare away would-be victims at the red light! A single pipe is good for pulse scavanging and it also hides a large cam.

Thanks in advance for the feedback...
Eric

The Comp stainless rockers at $449, ARP stud/guideplate kit at $110, hardened pushrods $110. That's our best setup. Lifters run $125 a set.

The y-pipe is 2.5" pipe and comes together to a 3" collector. You can flow quite a bit with 3" exhaust.

I made 371hp, 484 lb/ft on my blown 408(rear wheel numbers) through shorty headers with 1 5/8 collectors into a stock y-pipe, stock cat, 3" Gibson exhaust. And that was with no tuning.
