Okey. It is obvious that these ball joints have some big problems. Why aren't they just recalling this truck for these problems. I have a 2002 Dodge Dakota, Over all I have had alot of problems.. Stallling in reverse. Rough Idle, Power Locks Broke, Stalling at a light, Oh yeah and the rotors warped with only 16,000 miles on the truck. NOT covered under warranty. You would think with all of these problems, that I beat my truck. But I treat my truck like gold. I have the 4.7 V8, and I am very please with the performance, But comeon, all of these problems. AND what happened to the extended cab door opening?? They took that away and put that money into the full size dodge. I love my dodge don't get me wrong, But when I pay a good amount of money for a BRAND NEW truck, I expect to get my money's worth out of it. I don't know where I will turn next for a truck.. Sorry to say that.. All of these problems happened under 20,000. I have 20,500 on it now.

2002 Dodge Dakota SLT plus
K&N
Dual mbrp stainless exhaust
16x8 pythons with BFG all terrain.
And a Cowl Hood.

I hear ya Dodgeman.....bought a 97 Club Cab V8 new - it was suppose to be my dream truck.....the dream is a nightmare.

Too many problems under warranty and out - most recent is the water pump - it does have over 80K now - the only thing (knock on wood - and praying to the Dodge Gods) I haven't had to repair is the transmission.

The really frustrating thing was the original dealership's attitude when trying to get things repaired. The other dealerships I took it to weren't any better being that I didn't purchase it from them.

It's my 1st Dodge product and it is going to be my last Dodge product.

Also have MANY complaints filed at Chrysler Corp. about the experiences. All they ever say is "there is nothing we can do about the dealerships", that makes no sense and I told them so, but didn't make a difference.

let me just tell ya i am a chrysler tech and there products seem to be getting worse. the amount of common problems at low mileage and the the high amount of recalls is rediculous. brand new durangos are recalled already for bad throttle cables. trucks havent even left the lot and we r already working on them. they had to stop production on them to go back and fix them. there is also a big recall coming very soon for ignition lock cylinders. the steering wheel is locking up. good vehicles huh
