with all the factory upgrades, some ground affects and my NOS kit does the 1/4 mile in 9.665 at 180mph

HEY theres nothing little about a 5.9 Honda and there 1 liter engines Those are small. But i seen them put out 1000 hp. PRETTY SOON WHEN ELECTRIC CARS TAKE OVER a 5.9 will be a legend like the 426.

Because thats what the truck had in it on the lot and my 2nd son was due in 3 weeks so I couldnt order one and wait 4 to 6 months for it to get here. Had to take it like it was. Werent a whole bunch to choose from. Is that a good enough reason for you?

I saw a guy race at a local race track doing 1/4 in 10.2 secs it was black with silver strips and was the loudest thing i ever heard. It cleaned up. It Had a blower and hood scope on it also.

I just checked the NHRA database and the fastest 1/4 mi time that a dak has recorded is 11.17 @117.19 by Donnie Fuller on 5/26/01 in a '96 DAK.
So If doggie says he ran 9.5 he's lying. If you saw him your lying. And if Riza saw you she's lying. And my gut is telling me your all the same person. So go to the honda webpage and spin your tales, and quit bothering people.

I wasn't going to get in on this as Doggie is just a farie tale character to stir things up, but... There is a such thing as pro-stock truck where a dakota bodied trucks run and they go 7.5 at 175 mph on a 357 CI dodge small block w/o supercharger or nitros. They make over 900 HP. Right now a Dakota holds the nhra stock eliminator record for DT/SA with a 11.98@109.76. Thats in a stock class mind you, the super stock TA record used to be held by a Dakota as well and I think it was about a 9.5 sec 1/4. Granted these are race trucks but they do all this w/o supercharger or nitros on 360 ci Dodge motors.

I think the Dak I referred to was in the stock elimiinator catagory. To be honest I really wish NHRA would 'splain all the different catagories. I just looked for the fastest stock DAK. But the mongral's post said it was a stock dak with nitrous I know that doggie ain't gonna hunt! BUt seriously, By the time a turuck is doing under 11.00 sec your not gonna be able to drive it down to the seven eleven to buy yourself a slurpie.

Yeh, NHRA doesn't publish the rules online, they make you join to get them. I know a "stock" class can pretty much be gutted as long as you leave the outside stock. The motors can only have very limited things done to them but they still can really tweak them. I bet they still don't put out much over 350 HP and still they run 11's, it just shows how important weight reduction and proper chassis setup is.

My 60 foot was 1.4631, my 1/8 is 130.53 Mph or about 208 Km.
I didn’t race the truck yet. I just built it and have showed up before racing event to use the track. If I would have raced I would have gotten about 5 place I was not even the fastest.
How I made the run - I Deep staged and cut a 1.530 reaction time. I power shifted every gear and I hooked up pretty good. Got through the speed trap doing 180.22 mph and then crossed the finish line. Had excessive brake failure and warped the rotors so that was my only run of the day.
I made some changes and am installing better brakes next year and might need to put a shoot on. The truck is put away till next summer.
I estimate IM making 1200 hp. When I say factory upgrades I mean Twin turbo, NOS, AND PLAYING WITH DIFFERENT FUELS. The bed of my truck is tunneled out to allow for the Hoosier Racing slicks and all the bed is now is a frame with some carbon fiber painted the same color as the front. Over $170000.00 cdn went into this truck so far and its not ready for racing nor will it meet any of the safety requirements yet.
Riza is a HE for one, and my neighbor. He helped me build the truck and set it up for races. I don’t know Mar and my truck is not Black with stripes its two tone black and green. I don’t have a license plate because the truck is not street legal even though I drive it around my house which is not in any city just to test or to show someone.
So I don’t care if anyone doesn’t believe me because I don’t need you to. If you use your brains ant think about it, its not that hard to make, just takes money and time. I havent even seen anyone elso on this forum go out of there way and find someone to build or covert a 5 speed to fit the 5.9. YOUR ALL REAL PERFORMANCE NUTS..!! What makes me laugh even harder is that when ever someone talks about speed and power out of a 4.7 or 5.9 someone always come in saying “WHY DO YOU JUST THROUGH IN A HEMI” Well I got one in my 71 challenger and it wont touch the truck.
TO put an end to your stupid fight the 4.7 will never ever be as fast as the fastest 5.9. The 4.7 has a limit were as the 5.9 doesn’t you can make the 5.9 do what you want. Its so easy to work on and is not hard to get the parts made for it. The 4.7 with its SOHC is a nightmare. The only thing that makes this truck worth even going to the track is its 5 speed tranny. THE R/T was made by dodge to be a nice driving truck for the people that want AUTO. OR A PLATFORM for serious performance nuts to start with.
