IP: Logged

Message:
i am looking at buying this R/T and it has these mods:

MSD, KN air filter, Hydraulic roller rockers, Mopar performance computer, JBA headers, Gibson catback Exhaust 3" single outlet, Mopar RT camshaft, 360 stroker steel crank kit, Bored .030 over from a 360ci to a 408ci., Shift kit, Three angel valve job

What do you guys think this will do?
Also would it be compatible with a 5 speed manual out of a 5.2 or 4.7 V8 dak?
thanks for helping me out guys!!!

Sounds like a kick ass truck! How much are you getting it for?

I'm sure you won't be able to use a 5 speed from a 5.2 or a 4.7 dak. There is a company that has a 5spd transmission that does work with the R/T. I don't know of their name but someone else will.

My bad, I believe the tranny is the same 6speed that the Viper uses.

That's on eBay, right? I'd find out who did the motor work and try to talk to them directly first. Could be a good deal. Keisler does have a tranny setup for it.

I'd be a little leary it sound great but how much has the owner beat on it and if you buy it and a little down the road it takes a crap on you you'll be pissed just a word of caution.

thanks guys......yeah, i've bought a nissan 300zx off of ebay before and got screwed...as well as a s-10 with a built 400 SB.....I'm still thinking about getting a R/T locally but it's stock......However i can't get over the gas mileage....i mean that S-10 that i use to have would burn rubber through 1st and 2nd and chirp really nice into third...and it got like 10 MPG

I saw that on ebay. The truck was at one time supercharged as well. The cam is real small for a 408, stock heads and t-body aren't helping, and the whole exhaust needs to be redone for that big a motor. The 4bbl M-1 is OK on a 408 but needs at least a larger t-body and possibly a blower. At the current price it's a good deal but I bet the reserve is well over $10,000.

99 RC R/T, PPH headers, Flowmaster 50, No Cat, MSD 6a, BTM, IAT adjuster, Powerdyne Supercharger, M-1 4/2, Mopar PCM.

Hate to keep pestering you guys but....... I was wandering what kind of pleasure you get out of a lightly modded R/T with mods like: exhuast, intake,M-1,Chip, and maybe a couple of other things.....nothing to heavy though.
What would that do as far as traction problems:)
and performance?
