I took a quick vid of my exhaust today. My engine is a stock 4.7L, down to the intake. My exhaust is a piped 3rd cat, 2.5" MBRP in/out, dumped. The truck is about fulley warmed and ambient temp was like 20 degrees, friggin' cold.

The file is a raw M-JPEG around 10MB, I havn't converted it to MPEG yet, I will later.

Dude the truck looks way cool. Like the tool box and everything. the exhaust is a little too raspy for my liking.

Question for you
what size tires are on the truck. the rims look like they are from a older dakota. I assume those are your winter rims and tires?

If you leave the cat, the exhaust is really mellow and it only gets really raspy once you get above 5K.

I can't remember the size of those tires off-hand. The rims are from an older Dakota, like the 92-93 I think. Yep, those are the studs!

Here is just a sound clip that's like 250K...

Sounds good at start up and idle. the raspiness I was hearing is when you let off the gas. Either way pretty cool looking and sounding truck

After you let off the gas, I thought I heard some rattling? Have anything loose in the bed? Like the retro look of the wheels.

Yep, since the exhaust is dumped, anything loose inside the bed might cause a rattle. People who've sat back there tell me their ass and feet go numb pretty quick. The only thing I bought is the MBRP muffler I think, but I would like to go true dual 2.5" for the new year.

Wow that sounds like complete butt! Need to get rid of that crappy muffler or something, I think even a rice burner sounds better than that monstrosity!

Hrmm...it's mostly that high rpm let off the gas crackle that sucks. Most people ask how to make it sound deep like mine. I'll do a nice warmed up drice by one sometime when it's not cold as hell out and snowing.

I don't like the upper rpm crackle either, haha.
