I think most any truck can sound like that with heads,cam, and open headers.

I have had NO problems whatsoever driving it on the street with the cut out open. The cops are kinda used to it around here. I'm sure ANY truck CAN sound like this, but I haven't heard one like it! And yes it is a cam, but a custom grind that I'll never tell the specs to--hehehe!!!

That loping idle is a very big cam, and the terrain suggests Fla.
hope your state is emissions freindly, you will never pass emissions with that truck. NJ emissions everyone, my last vehicle would pass maginally. sometimes I had to adjust it to pass and then put it back.
but Fla. does not have emissions, thats why the fastest cars and truck on the street are in Fla.

I love the way it sounds, I am also from Louisiana, Meraux that is. Mine sounds like that with open headers also. I have a 93 CC 4x4 w/5.2 pretty well modified.

I must say that your dak sounds quite mean. I am quite proud of my dak for the way it sounds. I have just cut the cat and shoved a 2 chamber 40 series flowie under it and it sounds mean too. Not as mean as yours mind you but its a completely stock 97 5.2L. It sounds so mean that i had many many people thinking that i had built a 5.7 hemi and put it in it. I don't know what sound oridinances you have where you live but i have been pulled over with just my flowie. To all my fellow dak owners - keep raising hell!!

well i can tell it got a steep cam in it and open headers. but did u do any head work or valve work? sounds like it flows to good to just have a cam.
