I have a 98 R/T 255/55R/17's and I'm about to replace the tires. Having never bought tires before I have this question. Without changing the rims are there any other sizes I can get because I am not happy with the selection I am seeing except for the Michilen Pilot LTX's and there a bit pricy. I've been looking at the Nitto 450's as I have been told there good tires, but they don't have them in the 255/55R/17. Are there any other tire sizes I can use? Thank you for your help.

I just bought Dunlop SP 5000, 275,55,17s...... little wider, little taller.
Nitto 450s suck.... you'd be better off with Kumhos..... good tires, good price. check out the tirerack.com, you can get a whole new set of 255/55/17 kumhos for about 4 bills....... not bad AT ALL.....
