I know this issue has been argued to death in other threads, but I just wanted to add my 2 cents from PERSONAL experiance since I actually HAVE an R/T and not just talk about them. First, I have a 2002 R/T club cab. Upgrades include: spray-in liner, underseal, K&N FIPK Gen II, flowmaster exhaust, superchip 3715, brand new Kuhmo Ecsta 711 255/55/ R17. I ran first with the Superchip "Performance" program. My 60 ft was 2.314 1/8 was 9.830@71.407mph and 1/4 was 15.730@70.884mph(first time at track, slowed down at wrong cones :P). Again I ran with the "Performance" program and had 2.539 60 ft 10.169@70.979mph 1/8 mi and a 15.694@88.653mph 1/4 mi. I then installed the "towing performance" program the results were: 2.399 60 ft. 9.949@71.072mph 1/8 mi. and 15.473@88.770mph 1/4 mi.

These were my results, they were pretty consistant, I think I am going to stick with the "towing performance" deal for now, and I hope that if anyone has any questions or arguements I will be happy to take ppictures of the slips and email them to whoever. I gotta admit that at first I was kinda disappointed, unit I realized that I am faster than most ricers, and I can tow one of them going the opposite direction, while hauling some lumber or whatever in the back. Any feedback will be appreciated.

My 02 cc R/T ran 16.00 brand new with nothing done to it. Took the silencer of the air filter box and ran 15.70. If I step on the brake pedal lightly to shut off the lock up converter, it ran 15.6. Took the clutch fan off and put new plugs, no change but the millage got better. Moved the crank sensor for more timing, and it ran 15.4.
I was dissapointed at the performance new, but I`m happy now that I droped 6 tenths and ony spent about 30 bucks. Now Im going to throw some money at it and get it in to the 14s.

Everything I posted was the truth. I have time slips to prove every pass I have made in my truck. About 35 runs so far. Last night the truck ran 15.3.

were all your track times when it was very hot and humid outside? cause those times all seem a bit slow for an r/t. i thought the club cabs would run like a 15.3 stock.

It was about about 40-50 degrees when I ran mine, had really good launches too, hardly any spinning.

If I`m not mistaken, 91 dakotas are about 800 to 1000lbs lighter than the newer clubcabs.

2.3-2.5 60 ft times are not really good launches. Not trying to knock on you but more less gonna give some advice. How are you launching?

and you didnt have your best time with the "tow package"... you had the best time with the "performance". Your 60 ft was quickest with it, 2.314 compared to the 2.399 with the "tow". Just because you let off at the end too soon doesnt mean the programmer was fauling.

but once again... list the details of your launching technics

Keep in mind as well these trucks are strange in their times...

Somedays they just love the weather mix outside other times they just fall flat on their face for no apparent reason.

My 2003 R/T CC ran a best of 15.19 with just a K&N FIPK II kit, Taylor 8mm wires and, Headers with 3" sgl exhaust.
Added the 52 mm TB and squeaked out a 14.98

Then added M1 & 1.7 RR & B&G M1 flash and ran a best of 14.43 with slicks.

but that 13 year old 318 was built just like the last couple... no difference from "out the door" performance... and if the motor was kept in good shape, it could be a threat

Yup I know that guy too.

I also know a club cab r/t that's n/a in the low 13's. It's all doable if you tweak the setup and do a little fine tuning with the right parts.
