Subject: 2003 R/T NOT AS LOW AS EARLIER R/T'S

Message:
I HAVE A 2003 CC R/T AND A BUDDY OF MINE HAS A 1999 CC R/T. HIS TRUCK IS STOCK AND SITS NOTICEABLY LOWER. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THIS ON OTHER R/T'S WHILE CRUISING. AS FAR AS I KNOW THE POOR TOW RATINGS ARE THE SAME ON BOTH SO I CANT IMAGINE ANY LEAF CHANGE. ANY HELP WOULD BE NICE...

Actually, I believe the tow rating was raised after '99. There was a big stink after people realized the '98 and '99 trucks couldn't tow squat.

I'm not sure if they did raise it, but they did refund some people and lowered the tow rating from 5000 to 2000 lbs? I'm not exact on the numbers because I don't tow with my R/T.

the 2003 new truck guide from dodge still has the 2003 with the same crappy tow rating, maybe mine does need to settle. i know the lightnings dont handle as well as the used to for 03 they raised the rear just a tad and now on the slalom the r/t and the hemi beat it!!!
