 Subject: 91 tranny trouble.. help?

My son's 91 Dakota.. V8. Tranny was rebuilt 2 years ago and just now it started downshifting on it's own. It'll run good for a while and then just start shifting down. Anybody know what can cause this?

sounds like you have a seal problem or wasent set up right and the clutches are wore causing the apply piston volume to be hi but if it only does it warm its seals or pump the fluid is thin when hot hope it helps

hey hey start with easy stuff check and adjust kickdown rod or cable
