Ian,

Stroking a motor means that you install a crankshaft with a longer stroke, which increases your cubic inches. This usually also requires changing the rods and pistons, so that they do not go too high at top dead center.

i would be suprised if they came out with a stoker kit this early the modular engines do not have alot of room in the block.

on second glance it doesnt look like they have rods like I originally thought, just pistons, what do lightweight pistons by themselves accomplish, r they just preventive measures for future boost or something?

They should accelerate quicker with less stress on the motor at higher rpm.

The stroker kit has been around since 2001 IIRC. It bumps the displacement up to 5.5L, and TQ is pretty vastly improved over stock. Here's the link for it...
