To all the people that blasted the superchip I inquired about awhile ago, it works good. Stock the Dakota is a dog, not even close to the power my chivy had. My truck is a 1999 Dakota 4X4 Sport with a 5.2L auto. Like I said it was a pooch so I asked on this forum about superchips reprogrammer and all I heard was not to waist my money, well I bought one anyway and tried it on my stock dodge and it really does help. If some idiot tries one on his already beefed up truck, ya, it probably won't be a noticable improvement, but for $285 I was happy with the results. Its a hell of alot better than it was, still not that great though, why can't dodge make a decent motor for their trucks? Slow, underpowered, horrible gas mileage, geez get on the ball and stop forcing us to mod the truck just to get decent performance.

yup i loved my super chip too..now as for the dodge motor all ya gotta do is change a few of the innards a lil elec work lil more intake new brain and you have one fun truck

I won't do much else to my truck except maybe different muffler and a K&N FIPK. I'm not looking to drag race or play cat and mouse with rice grinders, I just want a truck with some get up and go. It's a 4X4, not a drag truck, but when it was stock I wasn't happy with the power.
