I am trading in my CC 3.9 5-speed dak for a CC 4.7 5-
speed dak, in a month, and was wondering what the fuel
economy is like for the CC 4.7 5-speed, with a 3.92 posi? I
hate the 3.9 when I have to pass or speed up, or 90% of the
time fueling up.. I am getting 15.7 mpg (trip computer, 75%
city) and the best on the highway (no A/C on) 21 mpg.

I have an 03 CC 4.7 5-speed LSD 3.92 and I get about 16-17mpg around town.

2003 Quad Cab 4x4 5spd with 3.55s and I get 16.5 to 17.2 mpg mixed driving. I have not taken a long trip yet to see what my highway miles are like. The 3.92s a friend of mine has only changed his mileage by like .5-1mpg less than before with the 3.55s.
You did not mention 2wd or 4wd, that would make a difference, most guys I know with a 2wd truck are getting better mileage than the 4wd trucks?

i have the reg cab 2x4 4.7 5 speed m/t 3.92 lsd and i get 21-23 mpg on the hwy, ac on. and get 16-18 in town. i have a k&n fipk on it. it added 2 mpg.

You should get at least the same mileage, most likely a little better. But the big thing you'll get in the move up is much more power.
Imagine that! 2 more cylinders, larger displacement, more torque, more HP, the same or better fuel economy. Wow!!!
However, if you keep your foot into the throttle (which can be too easy to do) you'll eat into your gas tank real fast...
