Has anyone tried the race magnums on a 4.7 Dakota? I was thinking a single-in/single-out with a race magnum may sound rather good. Anyone have a setup like this?

Let me know how that sounds/performs if you install it. I have heard one on a 360 and the sound was really good, should have a very similar tone on the 4.7

I'm just kicking around some options myself.

for me the dynomax race magnum on my r/t is about the same loudness as the 40 series flowmaster was but it sounds much better, deeper, and less redneck plus it gives much better performance. flowmasters dont flow very well lol.

I put a Dynomax Ultra FLow on my 03 4.7 and it sounded real good far about 2 months,,, then I started to get ratteling noises. Turns out the outlet pipe was looser than cr@p and was easily pushed in/out of the muffler. Got under the truck and popped a couple of welds on the muffler and it's been great ever since.

Just a work of caution, if you are putting on an UltraFlow, weld the inlet and outlet pipes to the case before installing the muffler. Much easier out of the truck than after it's installed.

I am thinking about putting a dynomax on my wifes durango. It has an 4.7 and I was hoping that it would sound good. Which series would you suggest the ultra-flow, racing,or the bullet? Let me know, which one would give her a deep, loud rumbling sound. Thanks

I have a 3" dynomax ultaflow welded race muffler on my 00 R/T. I also have PPH headers 3" high flow cat, 3" midpipe, and it exits out the stock 3" tailpipe. sounds awesome!!
